Technical Success Engineer helps customers optimize Metabase implementations, troubleshoots issues, and guides data querying with SQL/databases. Requires 3+ years experience, strong SQL, and expertise in web apps, infra, or DB management.
About the role
Responsibilities
- Talk to users to understand their goals and challenges
- Help customers design and optimize their Metabase implementation
- Guide customers on getting data from various sources, transforming it, and converting questions into executable queries
- Solve complex problems and troubleshoot customer issues
- Collaborate with technical communicators to create educational materials
- Serve as the voice of the customer to product and engineering teams to drive product development
Requirements
- Enjoy helping people and solving their problems
- Strong technical background with 3+ years of experience writing production code, administering systems, and/or managing databases
- Strong database and SQL skills
- Expert in at least two of:
- Designing and developing web applications
- Managing infrastructure (Docker, AWS/GCP, or similar)
- Managing databases
Nice to Haves
- Experience with Metabase or other BI tools
- Experience working for an open source product
- Fluency in multiple languages
