About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Senior Geospatial Analyst supporting the Offroad vertical, owning the technical approach, sequencing, and delivery of geospatial work.
  • Execute geospatial work supporting connected content initiatives by implementing datasets and workflows.
  • Support content trust initiatives through audits, refreshes, and cleanup of high-impact Offroad datasets.
  • Leverage and improve geospatial pipelines for reliable data delivery.
  • Lead complex geospatial processing and analysis including multi-source data integration, conflation, and large-scale QA/QC.
  • Use Claude Code and other AI tools to generate, optimize, and automate geospatial workflows.
  • Identify data quality risks and surface recommendations.
  • Analyze data, create dashboards, and monitor data health metrics.
  • Research and evaluate geospatial data sources.
  • Partner with engineers to ensure performant, maintainable solutions.
  • Own end-to-end execution of initiatives using Git and collaborative workflows.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other analysts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geospatial, Geospatial Engineering, Computer Science, Hydrology, Geography, or related field (or equivalent).
  • 8+ years of geospatial industry experience in dataset sourcing, development, transformation, and deployment.
  • Expert-level proficiency in QGIS and advanced geoprocessing.
  • Expert with SQL, cloud-based analytical databases (BigQuery), PostGIS, spatial indexing, and performance optimization.
  • Strong Python skills including GDAL, geopandas, PyQGIS, and automation frameworks.
  • Experience with complex spatial data pipelines, Git, and collaborative workflows.
  • Proven use of Claude Code or AI coding assistants for scripts and automation.
  • Familiarity with Offroad-relevant datasets (trail networks, road conditions, terrain, land ownership).
  • Ability to work autonomously on complex projects and communicate technically to non-technical partners.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Master's degree in related field.
  • Experience with graph-based data systems, GeoParquet, micro-services, Airflow, Docker.
  • Interest in off-road recreation.
