Research intern on robotics team conducts AI research in foundation models, robotics skills, open datasets/benchmarks, and real-world robot experiments under mentor guidance. Requires student status in CS/AI-related field with research background in robotics, ML, or computer vision.
Responsibilities
- Read scientific literature to investigate and understand AI research.
- Execute AI research under mentor guidance, including building AI systems or components, developing datasets, and conducting experiments.
- Meet with mentor to discuss research progress and ideas.
- Support development and investigate core research problems in foundation models and skills for robotics.
- Contribute to open datasets, benchmarks, and models.
- Experiment with robots in the real world.
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or similar field.
- Research experience in computer vision, robotics, machine learning, natural language processing, language and vision, or related areas.
- Interest in cutting-edge artificial intelligence research, particularly robotics, agents, and/or embodied AI.
Compensation
- Research Intern, Undergrad: $94,320 annually.
- Research Intern, Masters: $106,110 annually.
- Research Intern, PhD: $140,000 annually.
- Compensation dependent on current degree enrollment.
