Product Manager, Money Movement & Settlements
United StatesProduct ManagementRemote5+ YOE
Summary
Own end-to-end product for one money-movement or settlement surface (funding rail, settlement workflow, or ancillary product) at a fintech broker-dealer. Drive API design, partner discovery, production shipping, and adoption metrics while collaborating with compliance, treasury, and engineering in a regulated environment.
About the role
Responsibilities
- Own one core money-movement or settlement sub-surface end-to-end (a funding rail, a settlement workflow, or an ancillary product) — drive prioritization, API design, and rollout.
- Run discovery with partners and prospects, translate findings into a sequenced backlog, and push back on requests that don’t fit the platform.
- Ship to production at the cadence of a high-growth platform — write clear PRDs, align with engineering on API contracts, and produce documentation partners can implement against.
- Partner with compliance, treasury, and legal on product decisions that touch licensing, AML, screening, settlement rules, and reconciliation.
- Improve operational efficiency in your surface — exception handling, reconciliation workflows, partner-facing tooling, automation of repetitive ops — and own the metrics.
- Track adoption beyond GA (settlement success rate, time-to-funding, ACH return rate, partner-reported blockers) and iterate on docs, SDK ergonomics, and rollout sequencing.
- Report timely and accurately on product status and results to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Engineering, Consulting, or starting a startup — preferably in regulated payments, settlement, treasury, brokerage clearing, or fintech infrastructure.
- Demonstrated depth on at least one money-movement or settlement surface (ACH / wire / RTP / FedNow rail, post-trade settlement, JIT / instant funding, prefunding, or FX corridor) shipped to production scale.
- Experience shipping B2B / developer-facing products: SDKs, APIs, partner integrations.
- Comfort shipping in parallel with compliance, treasury, and legal in a regulated environment.
- Experience analyzing data using SQL and a relevant BI tool.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, finance, or equivalent.
- Business acumen to weigh stakeholder, tech feasibility, time, and budget tradeoffs.
Nice-to-Haves
- Direct broker-dealer or institutional brokerage experience (Schwab, Fidelity, IBKR, Apex, Drivewealth, or correspondent-clearing equivalents).
- Familiarity with the B2B2C correspondent / broker-as-a-service model.
- Experience with US payments and clearing regulatory frameworks (NACHA ACH rules, Federal Reserve oversight, FINRA / SEC clearing rules, OFAC screening).
- Experience with DTCC, NSCC, Fedwire, or other clearing-house settlement flows.
- Familiarity with global payment rails outside the US (SEPA, FPS, regional ACH equivalents, or stablecoin-rail funding).
- Experience unifying fragmented money-movement or settlement stacks behind consistent APIs and data models.
- Background in broker-dealer treasury or clearing operations (reconciliation, exception handling, regulatory reporting) and automation opportunities.
- AI-native PM workflow using tools like Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, NotebookLM, or custom agents.
