About the role

Key Responsibilities

  • Crosstrain to work in both shipping/receiving and stockroom locations.
  • Accept incoming packages, unpack boxes, and inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies against purchase orders.
  • Input new merchandise into the company’s inventory tracking software, print barcode labels, and tag items.
  • Arrange items logically on shelves, racks, or in bins, and dispose of empty boxes, pallets, and packing materials.
  • Pull, kit, and stage parts for engineering or manufacturing work orders.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and full physical inventory audits to reconcile discrepancies and prevent stock-outs.
  • Maintain a clean work environment and adhere strictly to safety standards and equipment protocols.
  • Manage order fulfillment for small parcel, LTL, and freight forwarder shipments.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing shipping logistics for cargo transportation carriers and shipping companies.
  • Prepare shipping documents for LTL shipments such as bills of lading, and shipping labels.
  • Communicate with internal and external personnel for clarity on shipping inquiries.
  • Secure all shipments ensuring the items are safely packaged.
  • Assist in the creation of new procedures and processes to keep up with the growth of the company.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years+ experience in shipping/receiving, inventory, and stockroom environment.
  • Proficient with email communication, computer programs and software interfaces.
  • Flexible schedule and ability to work non-standard shifts, overtime, and weekends as required.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and Atlassian tools.
  • Hands-on international shipping experience, preparing and documenting exports, coordinating with freight forwarders, and managing global shipments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in aerospace / launch services industry.
  • Interest and knowledge in flight hardware and terminology.
  • 2+ years of forklift experience.
  • Prior experience with international freight (air, ocean, ground) and customs brokers.
  • Proficiency with HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) codes, ECCN (Export Control Classification Number) determination, and related documentation for imports/exports.
