About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own the onboarding program and drive time-to-proficiency outcomes from first day to full productivity
  • Define proficiency milestones at each ramp stage and build measurement infrastructure to track progress
  • Design role-specific ramp programs balancing clinical knowledge, systems fluency, process adherence, and on-the-job application
  • Lead, coach, and grow a team of trainers and instructional designers
  • Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and build team capability as facilitators and content developers
  • Design learning experiences that meet people where they are, including job aids, in-tool guidance, peer coaching, scenario-based practice, and real-time performance support
  • Build working relationships with Operations, Quality, Clinical, and People teams to keep training content current
  • Pilot new training modalities including microlearning, simulations, cohort-based learning, and peer-led development
  • Own OKRs measuring onboarding effectiveness including time to proficiency, knowledge assessment scores, manager readiness ratings, and 30/60/90 day performance indicators
  • Conduct structured reviews of current training materials and ramp program design
  • Receive and act on training development priorities surfaced through the org-level quality-to-training process

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of experience leading high-performing teams in training, learning and development, or onboarding program management
  • Track record of owning programs end-to-end with measurable impact on time to proficiency or new hire performance outcomes
  • Direct experience managing trainers and instructional designers
  • Demonstrated success designing ramp and onboarding programs from the ground up with clear milestones, role-specific sequencing, and measurement built in
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills working across Operations, Quality, Clinical, or People teams
  • Experience building performance support tools, on-the-job learning resources, or embedded coaching programs
  • Experience piloting new training modalities and making evidence-based decisions about scaling
  • Data-driven mindset with ability to define success metrics, track them rigorously, and translate training data into clear narratives
  • Strong prioritization and self-direction managing team work and personal portfolio simultaneously
  • Clear, structured communicator who writes and presents training strategy effectively to frontline teams and senior stakeholders

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in healthcare, health tech, or care delivery environment
  • Familiarity with instructional design frameworks such as ADDIE or SAM
  • Experience working with LMS platforms
  • Exposure to change management principles
  • Familiarity with agentic learning and development approaches leveraging AI agents
