Responsibilities

Own the Android product end-to-end, including technical architecture, product quality, and roadmap execution
Lead and grow a team of engineers and contractors, with a path to scaling as mobile grows
Set and own architectural decisions for the Android platform to ensure scalability and disciplined maintenance
Translate company business goals into technical strategy and prioritization
Partner closely with product, design, backend, and leadership teams on priorities, launches, and quality
Establish engineering and product standards including code review, release processes, and high-ownership culture

Requirements

Significant experience leading Android development at a product-driven company with ownership of a shipped, high-quality Android app
Comfortable operating in a small, early-stage team environment with shifting context and broad ownership
Strong business and product judgment to make tradeoffs that reflect company priorities
Experience managing engineers and contractors with a track record of building high-performing teams
Deep Android platform expertise and strong grasp of Android-specific design patterns and constraints
Excellent cross-functional communication skills with product, design, and non-technical stakeholders
Leadership mindset focused on owning an area and scaling it

Experience in fintech, crypto, trading, or fast-paced, data-rich consumer applications
Familiarity with blockchain or Web3 products
