## Job Description
## Responsibilities
- Design and build robust automations and integrations across business systems (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite, BambooHR, identity, engineering and ticketing tools), focusing on reliability, observability, and reusability in Workato and adjacent platforms.
- Lead complex, cross-functional integration projects end-to-end: requirements, solution design, implementation, testing, deployment, and hypercare for GTM, EPD, and G&A stakeholders.
- Operationalize AI-powered workflows and agents (e.g., knowledge retrieval, intelligent triage, automated approvals) by integrating Glean and other AI tools into systems and processes in a governed way.
- Establish and evolve standards for automation design, testing, monitoring/observability, documentation, and security/compliance; drive adoption of shared patterns and best practices.
- Implement best-in-class error handling and alerting for automations, including runbooks, routing, and remediation patterns.
- Model high-quality engineering practices in Workato (version control, peer reviews, CI/CD for recipes, configuration-as-code).
- Partner with stakeholders to translate business problems into technical designs and roadmaps.
- Mentor engineers through design reviews, pairing, documentation, and enablement sessions.
- Explore and introduce innovation in automation patterns, AI agentic capabilities, and integration approaches.

## Requirements
- **8+ years** of experience in automation, integration, or data engineering roles, with track record of owning complex, business-critical systems (preferably SaaS/B2B).
- **Expertise** with Workato (recipe design, API integrations, SDK/custom connectors, error handling, operational best practices); Workato Automation Pro certification a plus.
- Hands-on experience with **Glean** (or similar AI platforms), including administration, API usage, and integrating AI workflows.
- Deep familiarity with enterprise systems: **Salesforce**, **NetSuite**, **BambooHR**, **Okta/identity**, engineering/ticketing systems.
- Strong architectural and automation design skills for patterns, reference architectures, reusable components.
- Solid background in **ETL/ELT**, **data modeling**, **SQL/T-SQL**, proficiency in scripting/programming (**Python**, **Ruby**, or similar).
- Proven experience operationalizing automation workflows and AI models (monitoring, observability, governance, lifecycle management).
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

## Compensation
**Base Salary Range**: $170,000 - $190,000 (San Francisco headquarters).
