> Analyzes cloud infrastructure and AI unit economics for Snowflake's Product Finance team. Partners with Engineering and Product leaders to optimize spend, build internal tooling, and drive strategic decisions using SQL, Python, and cloud cost data.
## Job Description
## What You Will Do
- Help manage cloud economics for Snowflake. Track actuals vs. forecast, dig into variances, and continuously iterate to improve accuracy.
- Answer detailed questions around cloud and AI unit economics (CPC, CPTB, token economics, inference costs). Enable critical strategic decision making with insightful data and analysis.
- Identify problems and abnormalities in infrastructure and AI spend and work to resolve them to minimize business impact. Provide recommendations to reduce COGS/OpEx and improve margin.
- Build out tooling in **Snowflake**, **Streamlit**, or BI tools to manage CSP and AI spend. Focus on scaling processes and reporting.
- Be a strong adopter of AI in workflows. Use **LLMs**, **Cortex**, or similar tools.
- Be an expert on cost reporting structure across **AWS**, **Azure**, and **GCP**, and develop point of view on economics of AI workloads (training, inference, serving).
- Work closely with Accounting team on monthly close process by providing guidance on COGS/R&D classification.
- Become a trusted business partner to Engineering and Product Management teams on cloud and AI spend.

## What You Will Need
- New grad to 2 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Management Consulting, or related analytical field. Experience in SaaS alongside Engineering and Analytics teams is a plus.
- Strong business intuition.
- Proficient in **SQL**, solid **Excel** skills. **Python** and BI tool experience is a plus.
- Comfort working with and presenting to senior stakeholders.
- Solid problem solving ability and experience with ambiguity.
- Good understanding of **GAAP**, or eagerness to learn.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts simply.
- Thirst for knowledge and iterative improvement.

**Preferred:**
- Experience analyzing cost and usage data from **AWS**, **Azure**, or **GCP**. **FinOps** certification nice to have.
- Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, Economics, CS, Data Science, or related quantitative field.
