About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage one of Stripe’s most critical U.S. Network partnerships, with a focus on driving the execution of joint initiatives and launching new offerings to benefit Stripe users
  • Leverage industry knowledge to craft thoughtful long-term partnership and product strategies, and execute deals and initiatives that support Stripe’s strategy
  • Use data to drive strategy and decisions
  • Coordinate with internal cross-functional stakeholders (including risk, compliance, product, engineering, treasury and global partner managers) to drive creation and execution of partner strategy
  • Develop, manage and report on strategic plans, key negotiation/expansion opportunities and overall partner health with a multi-year vision in mind
  • Juggle and reconcile competing priorities to drive creative solutions and commitment to a shared goal across multiple stakeholders
  • Coordinate and prioritize a large amount of activities and initiatives that compete for scarce resources to drive best outcomes for our users and Stripe

Minimum Requirements

  • 12+ years in partnerships, business development, or similar fields
  • 3+ years deep in the payments world—you need to understand how card networks operate
  • Experience negotiating significant commercial deals
  • Comfortable in a product-focused environment with lots of dependencies
  • Great communication skills, especially being able to influence C-level colleagues
  • Experience running big, complex, cross-functional projects
