## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Support field sales in helping customers understand the value of the Kong API Management platform.
- Understand and help establish customer requirements and grow trusted client relationships throughout the sales lifecycle, from initial product reviews to production.
- Support proofs of concept throughout the evaluation process.
- Ensure customer satisfaction across assigned accounts.
- Prioritize customer needs and coordinate with support, product, and engineering teams.
- Create technical documentation for DevOps, implementations, and services engagements.
- Perform additional tasks as required by the manager.

## Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering and/or sales engineering management experience at a SaaS, open-source, or enterprise software company.
- Experience with cloud computing trends and open-source business models.
- Strong listening and communication skills.
- Ability to confidently lead discussions with Product Managers, Engineers, and Executives.
- Enthusiasm for a high-profile, fast-paced startup culture.

## Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Docker.
- Fluency working on Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, DC/OS, Mesos, or Docker Swarm.
- Experience with NGINX, HTTP, AWS, Postgres, and Cassandra.
