## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Manage hiring and build a pre-sales team of Solutions Architects in the Data & AI domain.
- Rapidly scale the Field Engineering organization while maintaining a high hiring bar.
- Build a collaborative culture within a rapid-growth team and promote customer obsession, teamwork, and diversity.
- Increase the return on investment of Solutions Architect involvement in sales cycles by 2–3x over 18 months.
- Promote solution- and value-based selling across the Field Engineering organization.
- Coach and mentor Solutions Architects to understand customers’ business needs and identify revenue potential in their accounts.
- Engage leadership and C-suite stakeholders at strategic customers in India to position Databricks solutions and build trust and credibility.
- Build the Databricks brand in India in partnership with Marketing and Sales.
- Bring Field Engineering priorities and insights into organizational planning and strategy.

## Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in pre-sales, consulting, or customer-facing management, including developing, managing, and building teams of Big Data, Cloud, or SaaS professionals.
- Experience working with strategic Banking, Financial Services, or Digital Enterprise accounts generating more than $1M ARR.
- 6+ years of experience in Big Data Architecture incorporating Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, Machine Learning, or Data Science.
- Experience scaling and mentoring field and technical teams across in-person and remote working models.
- Knowledge of and passion for data-driven decision-making, AI, and cloud software models.
- Knowledge of Apache Spark and the Databricks ecosystem.
