## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and implement features for the Marketplace platform, facilitating outsourced maintenance and payments for vendors and customers.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Quality Engineers, and other Engineers to deliver high-quality software.
- Participate in collaborative feature design and architecture.
- Deliver well-tested, maintainable, and performant code.
- Research and implement prototypes and technical spikes to validate assumptions and feasibility.
- Contribute actively to development and planning processes.
- Review peer code for quality, consistency, and knowledge sharing.

## Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails, React, and/or TypeScript.
- Firm understanding of object-oriented programming and relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
- Experience solving challenging architecture problems through sound design.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and quality, with the ability to make tradeoffs.

## Nice-to-haves
- Expertise in data modeling and query performance optimization.
- Experience leading small teams or projects.
- Knowledge of the fleet management industry.
- Experience building APIs for consumer or mobile app consumption.
- Experience integrating external APIs.
- Experience building two-sided marketplace solutions.
