## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive virtual and onsite site surveys for restaurant POS installations.
- Validate wiring, electrical infrastructure, networking, Wi-Fi, and internet performance.
- Perform advanced diagnostics, including traceroutes, port checks, speed, latency, and DNS testing.
- Document infrastructure gaps, risks, photos, diagrams, and survey outcomes.
- Provide technical guidance to clients and vendors and lead remediation follow-ups.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Technicians, and Engineering to ensure installation success.
- Install and configure POS hardware, including workstations, printers, pin pads, cash drawers, switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Complete cabling, patching, and connectivity setup.
- Deliver onsite training and live support for restaurant staff and management.
- Implement menu and system updates and configure reporting.
- Perform pre- and post-installation readiness checks and troubleshooting.
- Travel regularly to client sites, including local and out-of-state travel with overnight stays as needed.
- Mentor junior specialists and contribute to improvements of survey tools, templates, SOPs, and internal processes.
- Maintain quality and accuracy by following SOPs, SLAs, checklists, and documented processes.

## Requirements
- 2–3 years of restaurant and/or technical support experience.
- Demonstrated success in 50 or more POS installations or comparable technical deployments.
- Deep understanding of low-voltage cabling, routers, switches, and Wi-Fi optimization.
- Experience with advanced network testing and translating technical findings for nontechnical stakeholders.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, analytical, organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with restaurant POS systems and multi-terminal deployments.
- Experience with client-facing walkthroughs and staff training, virtually or onsite.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, POS hardware and software, menus, modifiers, and reporting workflows.
- Ability to manage complex, multisite projects independently and mentor junior team members.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, CRM platforms, ticketing systems, and travel and expense management tools.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Fluent English, written and verbal.
- Ability to travel up to 50–75%.
- Work authorization in the United States; visa sponsorship is unavailable.

## Nice to Have
- Experience in fintech or SaaS environments.
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Networking, Systems Administration, Engineering Technology, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Background in IT support, implementation, or technical project leadership within restaurants, retail, or multisite businesses.
