## Job Description

## Responsibilities

**Lead research operations:**
- Define vision, roadmap, and OKRs for Research & Insights operations in partnership with Senior Director
- Identify shared infrastructure leverage and dedicated support needs; create sequenced operating plan owned end-to-end
- Define and track operational metrics for impact and efficiency; continuously improve using data

**Automate workflows:**
- Apply relentless automation mindset; design and build AI-powered agents, automations, and intelligent workflows (e.g., surfacing prior research, routing insights, synthesizing patterns, managing participants)
- Free researchers and teams for human-expertise work

**Transform participant recruitment:**
- Design scalable recruiting system for reliable, ethical, efficient access to customers; move to self-service

**Harness research community:**
- Define contribution systems for researchers and strategists; build scalable coordination

**Define standards:**
- Own research ethics, compliance, data governance frameworks, consent workflows, and privacy practices

**Increase insights fluency:**
- Build systems to connect Justworkers to insights and strategy automatically (channels, automations, workflows)
- Partner with Corporate Strategy for company direction understanding
- Establish and govern Research Knowledge Management system (repository, metadata, freshness policies)
- Build operational backbone for Insights Fluency program (playbooks, tools, templates, training)

## Requirements

- Proven track record (6-8 years, staff/principal level) building/scaling operational systems and governance
- Demonstrated experience applying AI tools and building AI-powered workflows (knowledge retrieval, research synthesis, automation, insight distribution)
- Experience in technology environment with understanding of experience design, user research, product development
- Exposure to UX/market/design/strategic research methods
- Strong cross-functional partnership and lateral leadership (Product, Design, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, Procurement)
- Track record operating independently in ambiguous environments
- Experience with research platforms: **Great Question**, **Qualtrics**, **Dovetail**, **User Interviews**, **dscout**, **Figma**

**Nice-to-haves:**
- Background in compliance-sensitive environments (fintech, SaaS, enterprise B2B)

## Compensation
Target daily rate: **$850 - $1,250** (contractor; no benefits)
