## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Become an expert on Checkly and the monitoring space, helping drive the Monitoring as Code revolution and solve customer problems.
- Work with valuable customers across pre-sales and post-sales.
- Assist prospects with technical evaluations, from the first demo through successful implementation, and own the process.
- Speak directly with customers and share learnings with Product and Engineering to help shape Checkly.
- Improve technical documentation, processes, and policies.
- Participate in Customer Support onboarding and provide support when needed.

## Requirements
- Strong technical skills for reading, writing, and debugging code; JavaScript and Node.js preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Customer Solutions, or Forward Deployed Engineering.
- Experience at developer-tools SaaS companies.
- Ability to use AI tools such as Claude Code and Codex to accelerate customer-facing work, including prospect research, tailored demo code, and proof-of-concept repositories.
- Ability to work autonomously and stay self-motivated in a remote-first environment.
- Empathy, curiosity, and a customer-focused mindset.
- Proactive, ownership-oriented approach to building long-term customer partnerships.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Located in Europe within UTC+1 or UTC+2 time zones.

## Nice-to-haves
- Background in observability, monitoring, or testing.

## Compensation & Benefits
- 70% base salary and 30% commission split.
- €115k–€140k OTE for markets similar in cost to Spain, Poland, and Portugal.
- €127k–€150k OTE for markets similar in cost to the United Kingdom and Germany.
