## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Strategically guide CIO, CTO, CEO, and CISO-level customer and prospect executives on adoption journeys, investment, and operationalizing observability.
- Lead the go-to-market technical strategy for Japan, establishing thought leadership, building the strategic case for Datadog, and expanding its market footprint.
- Identify industry trends and their impact on customers, feeding opportunities to Product, GTM, BVA, and Architecture teams.
- Co-create industry solutions with Product Solutions Architects and Product Management.
- Demonstrate Datadog’s platform and thought leadership in observability and security, including advanced solutions and industry best practices.
- Advise Sales leaders and customer and prospect executives on ROI, value realization, white-space analysis, opportunity strategy, and adoption strategy.
- Collaborate with Product Solutions Architecture, Sales, Sales Engineering, and Marketing to provide technical resources for practitioners and economic buyers.
- Lead architecture and design engagements for strategic customers.
- Participate in Executive Briefing Center conversations about architecture, observability best practices, and industry trends.
- Assist with recruiting and hiring for Product Solutions Architecture and Field CTO teams.
- Travel up to 50% of the time.

## Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in enterprise architecture or application architecture at scale.
- Ability to map architectures to real-world use cases.
- Deep knowledge of observability, cloud technologies, and technological shifts affecting customers in Japan.
- Strong strategic thinking and ability to address technical and business challenges creatively.
- Experience influencing VP-level and C-level stakeholders in large enterprise organizations.
- Hands-on technical credibility and ability to build relationships across organizational levels.
- Excellent customer-facing presentation skills for large audiences and executive or non-technical briefings.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to connect product functionality to business objectives, value realization, and ROI.
- Native-level Japanese and strong spoken and written English proficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
