> Owns the performance, maintenance, support, and event production of workplace AV systems across an office. The role requires 5+ years of hands-on AV experience, strong troubleshooting and documentation skills, and the ability to support stakeholders, vendors, and live events independently.

## Job Description

## Responsibilities

### Site Ownership & Room Health
- Serve as the AV owner for the office, accountable for the health, readiness, and performance of every room and event space.
- Execute preventative maintenance programs and recurring room sweeps on a defined cadence.
- Maintain accurate inventory of room systems, peripherals, wireless microphones, cameras, portable production gear, spares, and replacement cycles.
- Coordinate AV scope for office moves, room reconfigurations, and new-space readiness with Workplace and AV Engineering.
- Maintain room documentation, as-builts, and site-specific support information.

### Support Operations
- Triage, prioritize, resolve, and escalate AV support requests with clear diagnostic context.
- Participate in the regional AV on-call rotation during local business hours.
- Isolate faults to a point in the signal chain rather than relying on reboots and cable swaps.
- Drive recurring issues to root cause and surface platform- or design-level fixes to AV Engineering.
- Contribute to runbooks, standard operating procedures, and knowledge-base documentation.

### Event Support & Production
- Provide technical coverage for live and hybrid events, executive presentations, team meetings, all-hands, and company-wide broadcasts.
- Operate event production systems, including audio consoles, video switchers, camera systems, playback, and streaming encoders.
- Conduct pre-event walkthroughs, rehearsals, source checks, gear staging, and failover planning.
- Translate stakeholder requirements into equipment and staffing plans that meet service-level expectations.
- Turn one-off events into repeatable standards, runbooks, templates, and gear lists.

### Vendor Direction & Cross-functional Partnership
- Direct AV integrators, contractors, and event labor on site while holding them to scope, SLAs, and quality standards.
- Partner with Workplace, Events, and IT on lead times, expectations, and readiness.
- Provide regional feedback to AV Engineering on failures, gaps, and standards.
- Communicate status, risk, and resolution clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

## Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in AV operations, workplace technology, or technical event support.
- Experience owning a standing AV estate and being accountable for room performance over time.
- Working fluency across room systems, event audio, video, camera, and streaming technologies.
- Ability to diagnose technical problems, prioritize independently, and work as the sole AV person in a building.
- Ability to create checklists, intake processes, maintenance cadences, and documentation.
- Strong front-facing communication skills with executives, event producers, and other stakeholders.
- End-to-end ownership of recurring issue resolution.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience; relevant field of study demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience.
- Occasional evening and early-morning coverage around major events.
- Approximately 2–4 weeks of annual travel may be expected.

## Nice-to-haves
- Q-SYS DSP platforms.
- Logitech CollabOS and Sync.
- Google Meet hardware and Zoom Rooms.
- Enterprise room system administration.
- Preventative maintenance and room-sweep programs across distributed room fleets.
- Blackmagic ATEM, Ross Carbonite, or NewTek TriCaster.
- Yamaha DM7 or CL/QL digital audio mixing consoles.
- Shure wireless systems.
- PTZ camera systems and multi-camera workflows.
- Jira and participation in an on-call rotation.
- Coordination of AV contractors, integrators, and event labor.
- CTS certification or equivalent demonstrated capability.

## Compensation & Benefits
- Annual salary: **$230,000–$285,000 USD**.
- Based in the San Francisco or New York office.
- Expected to work in the office 5 days per week.
- Visa sponsorship may be available.
