## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end roadmap for Benchling's developer-facing products: **REST APIs, MCPs, SDKs, API playground, code examples, and code recipes**.
- Define primitives for agentic R&D workflows, get them built, and ensure developers can use them.
- Work cross-functionally with **Solutions Engineering, Partnerships, and Customer Success** to build platform foundation for partner ecosystem (Quilt, Calira, Code Ocean, Seqera).
- Own the **developer experience** end-to-end: docs, APIs, support.
- Establish feedback loops through interviews, support signals, and usage data to shape roadmap decisions.

## Qualifications
**Required:**
- 3-5 years of product management experience, with hands-on ownership of **API, SDK, or developer platform products**.
- **Technical fluency**: read code, review API specs, credible conversations with engineers.
- **Developer empathy**: obsess over developer experience, AI-era tooling (**MCPs, LLM-friendly APIs, agentic workflows**).
- Familiarity with modern developer stack: **APIs, SDKs, documentation, developer onboarding**.
- **Strong communicator**: crisp requirements, clear presentations.

**Nice to Have:**
- Familiarity with **life sciences** or **enterprise SaaS** domain.
- Experience building **developer communities**, running beta programs, or **developer relations**.
- Prior experience at a company with **platform business model** or marketplace.

## How We Work
Flexible **hybrid** work arrangement, prioritizing in-office collaboration. Expected **on-site 3 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday)**.
