## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Lead the entire California engineering team for the Sunnyvale office.
- Own critical parts of the edge AI platform, cloud infrastructure, and customer-facing engineering.
- Set technical direction and grow the team.
- Stay hands-on with architecture, code review, and debugging.
- Manage engineers directly, with significant team growth expected within a year as the company scales 2-3x.
- Work closely with the CTO, CEO, and Product team.

## Requirements
- Reached Staff or very senior IC level with a couple of years in that role before transitioning to management (typically after 4-5 years of engineering experience).
- Current or prior experience managing engineers (as Tech Lead Manager or Engineering Manager).
- Deep expertise in at least one of: distributed/real-time systems (e.g. C++), robotics/AI, or HPC.
- Experience inside an established top-tier engineering culture at a 50-100+ person organization.
- Strong hiring track record and high bar for talent.
- Hands-on technical approach motivated by ownership, impact, and product shaping.

## Nice-to-Haves
- Background in computer vision, multimodal LLMs, or security/operations AI applications.
