## Job Description

## Responsibilities

### Own the Core Platform Strategy and Roadmap

- Prioritize foundational investments based on customer impact, enterprise needs, technical risk, and engineering effort.
- Make trade-offs between near-term customer needs, technical debt, and long-term architecture explicit.
- Lead product discovery for technically complex problems with enterprise customers and customer-facing teams.

### Scalability, Reliability, and Execution
- Drive scalability and reliability improvements for the execution engine, including worker pools and distributed execution.
- Improve trigger reliability and execution behavior across complex deployments, including multi-main Cloud environments and self-hosted enterprise installations.
- Shape a more secure and flexible approach to code execution.

### Major Releases and Cross-Organization Alignment
- Plan and release major or breaking platform versions, including migration strategy, stakeholder communication, and risk management.
- Establish clear success measures and hold the squad accountable for outcomes.
- Bridge the Core team with Product, Sales, Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, and Support.
- Treat internal product teams as platform customers by identifying implicit requirements and turning cross-cutting needs into explicit Core Platform work.

## Requirements

### Must-Haves
- 5+ years of product experience, including 2–3 years working on platform, infrastructure, developer-facing, or backend/API products.
- Technical depth sufficient to reason about distributed systems, execution models, reliability, scalability trade-offs, and non-functional requirements.
- Track record leading cross-team technical initiatives with significant delivery risk, ideally including a migration or breaking change.
- Strong prioritization and ability to connect foundational or technical-debt work to customer and commercial outcomes.
- Ownership, autonomy, and ability to drive outcomes independently.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Understanding of customer-controlled environments, including self-hosted, air-gapped, and restricted deployments.

### Nice-to-Haves
- Ability to read code or build prototypes.
- Experience with B2B SaaS requirements such as security, compliance, and deployment complexity.
- Experience partnering with security teams on code execution, isolation, or compliance.
- Familiarity with workflow automation, orchestration, open-source, or developer-community products.
- Writing-oriented approach to creating clarity and alignment.
