## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Lead complex and high-risk fraud investigations end-to-end, including coordinated fraud rings, synthetic identities, and sophisticated account takeover schemes.
- Conduct fraud risk assessments to identify and mitigate emerging fraud vectors across products, services, and customer segments, and present findings.
- Collaborate with risk, compliance, legal, and customer support to resolve escalations and maintain consistent, well-documented investigative standards.
- Communicate directly with customers regarding complex fraud and account security matters, including verification requests and dispute resolution.
- Maintain accurate documentation of investigations, case outcomes, and fraud loss reporting in accordance with internal recordkeeping standards.
- Monitor emerging fraud trends, including AI-generated identity fraud, social engineering, and SIM-swapping, and recommend process or detection improvements.
- Independently manage a caseload of the firm's most complex and highest-risk investigations.

## Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in fraud analysis, fraud operations, or transaction monitoring, ideally within a broker-dealer, fintech, or financial services environment.
- Proven experience leading complex fraud investigations.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills, including identifying suspicious patterns across large datasets and making sound judgments with incomplete information.
- Experience with fraud detection tooling such as device fingerprinting, behavioral analytics, and case management platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with internal stakeholders, customers, external parties, and law enforcement when needed.
- Collaborative approach with the ability to influence risk, compliance, product, and engineering teams.
- Willingness to obtain Series 3, 7, and 63 or 66 licenses if not already held; the company will sponsor and support the licensing process.

## Nice to Have
- Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification.

- Base salary: **$80,000–$100,000**.
