## Job Description

## Responsibilities

- Collaborate with designers and partners to create and maintain Stripe.com experiences.
- Pair with and mentor other design engineers while building a culture of excellence.
- Prototype and implement web animations and interaction-heavy product launch materials.
- Build polished, accessible end-user experiences for complex problems.
- Utilize, maintain, and extend design systems.
- Integrate the web platform with self-serve authoring and experimentation.

## Requirements

- 3+ years of relevant web front-end development or creative technology experience at a tech-forward, product-driven company.
- Advanced knowledge of modern HTML and CSS.
- Experience writing clear, elegant code in a team environment.
- A portfolio demonstrating design work and frontend code, such as design systems, microsites, Figma plugins, WebGL experiments, or CSS art.
- Experience designing and building public-facing websites that work across commonly used browsers and devices.

## Nice-to-haves

- Understanding of formal design elements, including typography, layout, balance, and proportion.
- Proficiency with React, especially interactions, animation, performance, and polish.
- Experience with A/B testing, synthetic monitoring, or accessibility testing.
