## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Develop and implement design-for-reliability best practices.
- Conduct stress screening, environmental testing (temperature cycling, vibration, HALT, HASS), and failure analysis.
- Analyze designs and test results to identify failure modes and mitigations.
- Collaborate with design engineers to implement reliability practices early.
- Participate in design reviews, FMEA, and approve designs for release.
- Investigate manufacturing non-conformances and field failures for root cause.
- Travel to supplier processes for deep dives.
- Develop corrective actions and process improvements.
- Use reliability modeling and simulation tools to predict performance and lifespan.

## Required Qualifications
- Technical background in materials science, electronics manufacturing (PCB fabrication and assembly), hardware reliability, environmental testing.
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering (preferred), Mechanical, or Reliability Engineering.
- Familiarity with electronics (PCBs, PCBAs, components) and moving mechanical assemblies.
- Experience with interdisciplinary teams from concept to production.
- Project management of technical projects.
- Proficiency in **Python**, **NumPy**, **Pandas**, **SciPy**, **Plotly**, **Matplotlib**.
- Familiarity with IPC, JEDEC, AIAA, AEC, MIL, SMC standards.
- Self-starting with growth mindset, problem-solving, attention to detail, communication skills.

## Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Materials Engineering (preferred), Mechanical, or Reliability Engineering.
- 3+ years in hardware reliability engineering (aerospace/automotive focus).
- Proficiency in failure analysis and materials characterization.
- Experience with PCB fabrication, SMT, polymerics manufacturing.
