## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Interface electromechanical systems with conventional automotive vehicles
- Build up electrical and/or mechatronic systems
- Test and troubleshoot complex electromechanical systems
- Debug issues stemming from either add-on modifications, inherent vehicle issues, or the interface between the two
- Documentation of in-field issues and maintenance
- Write reports and record data on testing techniques, laboratory equipment, and specifications to assist engineers
- Assist in autonomous vehicle bring-up at customer locations
- Basic software work; uploading updated code to various vehicle subsystems
- Communicate issues with a remote hardware team, local mechanics and test engineers

## Required Skills
- Ability to read, write, and interpret technical drawings & schematics
- Basic knowledge of automotive systems and repair
- Diagnostics and troubleshooting experience
- Basic electrical skills: Soldering, ingress protection, fault identification, wiring harnesses
- Basic mechanical skills (knows their way around a vehicle)
- Familiarity with air systems, preferably semi-truck air brake systems
- Able to lift more than 40 lbs
- Travel requirement up to 30%

## Preferred Skills
- Robotics/autonomous systems/transportation experience
- SMT soldering experience, including hand board assembly (solder paste, ovens, hand solder work)
- Familiarity with multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators, hand tools, power tools, adhesives, and sealants
- General knowledge of materials and their mechanical properties
