## Job Description

## Responsibilities

- Build product features end-to-end, from web UI to distributed services back end
- Evaluate and integrate critical third-party software and infrastructure including the payments stack
- Challenge the team to automate, improve process, simplify, raise the bar for quality
- Help shape the engineering culture of the company
- Have a voice in early technology and implementation choices

## Requirements

- 4-10+ years experience working with first-class engineering teams with a proven track record of frequent delivery of quality software to production
- Experienced working on business-critical services
- Owned the full lifecycle of solutions from ideation, to delivery, to iteration
- Substantial experience with server-side programming, variety of databases (Postgres, DynamoDB), messaging, REST and APIs in general, distributed systems
- Experience with modern web development, in TypeScript
- Extensive experience working in cross-functional agile teams in collaboration with product and design
- Hands-on knowledge developing applications in the cloud (preferably AWS)
- Proven history of delivering complex, highly available and scalable distributed systems
- Pragmatic and get stuff done
- Passionate about building amazing products for customers
- Able to work independently with little oversight or management in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

## Compensation

**Salary range:** $160,000 - $215,000 annually

**Equity grant:** commensurate with level
