## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Own and support cellular certification testing for Skydio products, including PTCRB and carrier certification programs.
- Develop certification plans, test strategies, schedules, and configurations based on product architecture and target carriers or markets.
- Work with third-party certification labs to execute PTCRB and carrier test campaigns, including onsite device setup, configuration, log collection, debugging, and issue resolution.
- Troubleshoot certification failures and coordinate root-cause analysis and corrective actions with engineering teams, module and chipset vendors, labs, and carriers.
- Support modem configuration, firmware, RF parameters, cellular bands, power settings, and network settings for certification testing.
- Analyze modem logs, signaling logs, RF measurements, and test reports.
- Track certification status, failures, retests, waivers, and open issues; communicate risks and progress cross-functionally.
- Partner with RF, antenna, electrical engineering, software, systems, regulatory, manufacturing, and program management teams.
- Coordinate with cellular module vendors and chipset suppliers on modem firmware, protocol, RF, and network interoperability issues.
- Interface with mobile network operators and certification labs to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
- Support pre-certification testing, readiness reviews, cellular RF and OTA validation, and product certification through engineering validation, production, and market launch.
- Review certification reports and ensure required testing and documentation are complete.
- Improve internal cellular certification processes, test procedures, documentation, and best practices.

## Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Wireless Communications, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in cellular testing, certification, wireless validation, or cellular product development.
- Hands-on experience with PTCRB certification and carrier certification with major mobile network operators; U.S. carrier experience with Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of LTE and 5G NR, including cellular bands, RF requirements, protocol behavior, network registration, and mobility.
- Experience certifying products using commercial cellular modules or modem platforms.
- Experience troubleshooting cellular RF, protocol, modem firmware, and network interoperability issues.
- Familiarity with cellular certification test equipment such as Rohde & Schwarz CMW500/CMX500, Keysight, Anritsu, or equivalent systems.
- Experience collecting and analyzing modem and protocol logs using chipset or module vendor diagnostic tools.
- Understanding of RF measurements including transmit power, EVM, ACLR, sensitivity, throughput, and conducted RF measurements.
- Experience working with certification labs, cellular module vendors, chipset vendors, and mobile network operators.
- Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple certification programs and time-critical test activities.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%, including extended onsite support at certification and carrier test labs.

## Nice-to-Haves
- Familiarity with OTA cellular performance testing, including TRP and TIS.
- FAA Part 107 certification, or willingness to obtain it within the first 60 days of employment.

## Compensation
- Annual base salary: $170,000–$258,000.
