## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Implement products within billing and revenue management to support organizational growth as business scope, complexity, and regulatory oversight increases.
- Contribute to the vision, strategy, and execution of Finance products and services.
- Design and build maintainable, extensible solutions.
- Drive work independently and lead or significantly contribute to medium-to-large, multi-person, interdepartmental or cross-functional projects, including end-to-end leadership with minimal oversight.
- Break down large projects into smaller tasks, estimate time and scope accurately, articulate options, analyze trade-offs, and recommend priorities.
- Share knowledge within the team to avoid single points of failure.
- Monitor company objectives and trends that may impact success.
- Mentor and guide team members in your specialization or domain.
- Communicate outside team boundaries to solve problems, network with other teams, and build positive working relationships.
- Collaborate daily as part of a team, learning from and mentoring others.

## Requirements
- Real-world experience building complex distributed systems.
- Deep appreciation for code quality, test infrastructure, and extensible architecture.
- Prioritize end-user experience and business value over the latest technology.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including concurrency, algorithms, and data structures (formal CS degree not required).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced agile software environment and context switch between multiple tasks.
- Belief that software engineering is a team activity.

## Nice-to-Haves
- Experience implementing products within Billing and Accounting spaces.
- Design and implementation experience with GraphQL, gRPC, or Temporal.
- Comfort diving down the stack and into open source projects to root cause bugs.
