## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Contribute to security assessments for existing and new products.
- Support the design and implementation of secure boot processes for embedded devices, ensuring firmware and software integrity and authenticity during boot.
- Partner with hardware engineers to integrate hardware security modules (HSMs) into embedded systems, including encryption, key management, and secure cryptographic operations.
- Collaborate with software, hardware, QA, and product teams to integrate security throughout the product development lifecycle.

## Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, completed or in progress.
- Coursework, internship, research, or project experience in cybersecurity, embedded systems, or a related area.
- Foundational understanding of cryptographic principles, protocols, and algorithms.
- Proficiency in embedded-systems programming languages such as C, C++, or Python.
- Strong curiosity about cybersecurity and eagerness to develop expertise in secure boot, HSM integration, and board support package (BSP) work.

## Nice-to-haves
- Exposure to security frameworks or compliance standards such as FIPS 140-2 or Common Criteria.
- Experience with automotive embedded systems, electronic control units (ECUs), in-vehicle networks such as CAN, LIN, or Ethernet, or automotive protocols such as AUTOSAR.
- Exposure to automotive security standards such as ISO/SAE 21434 or UNECE WP.29.
- Familiarity with vehicle diagnostics protocols such as OBD-II or UDS, or over-the-air update mechanisms.
- CTF participation, security research, or personal projects in embedded or IoT security.
