## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end monthly close, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and preparation of a clean, timely trial balance.
- Manage AP, AR, and payroll operations, including vendor onboarding, coding, approval routing, billing-to-cash reconciliation, payroll booking, accruals, and allocations.
- Drive daily revenue recognition under ASC 606, including revenue, variable consideration, and contract modifications.
- Partner with the Controller on technical accounting positions for non-routine transactions.
- Prepare income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, including reconciliations and variance analysis for leadership and board reporting.
- Build and maintain AI-driven accounting automations using Claude Cowork and MCP integrations.
- Support ERP migration, including system selection, data migration, finance-tool integrations, systems, and controls.

## Requirements
- 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Experience combining public accounting, such as Big Four or similar, with in-house or startup experience is preferred.
- Active CPA license strongly preferred.
- Strong command of US GAAP and hands-on ASC 606 revenue recognition experience.
- Experience owning monthly close and independently managing AP, AR, and payroll operations.
- Ability to research technical accounting questions, resolve ambiguous issues, document conclusions, and escalate appropriately.
- High standards for accuracy, reconciliation, verification, and documentation.
- Resourceful, self-directed, proactive, and comfortable with ambiguity.

## Nice-to-haves
- Financial services experience, especially wealth management, asset management, or registered investment advisor experience.
- Familiarity with AI tooling, SQL, or light scripting.
- Familiarity with Stripe and Ramp.
- Experience building automated, auditable, code-verified accounting workflows.
