## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Define the team’s purpose and areas of ownership, ensuring goals are understood and internalized.
- Establish principles and frameworks that enable independent day-to-day prioritization.
- Plan, prioritize, and staff team work in collaboration with product managers.
- Set and update the team roadmap and allocate team members to projects.
- Build and maintain a motivated, collaborative team culture.
- Support team members in achieving their career goals.
- Recruit, interview, and onboard engineering talent.
- Contribute to and lead engineering-wide initiatives that improve engineering excellence and scalability.
- Own team outcomes by introducing effective processes and maintaining accountability.
- Represent the team across the organization and collaborate with product, design, support, and engineering teams.

## Requirements
- 6+ years of overall software development experience.
- 2+ years of management experience.
- Experience managing and coaching 3+ direct reports in a fast-paced environment.
- Track record of building scalable, high-performance systems.
- Strong focus on customer satisfaction and user experience.
- Empathetic communication skills and the ability to express nuanced ideas clearly to different audiences.
- Ability to learn unfamiliar technologies quickly.
