## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Own Nova’s product vision, discovery, prioritization, execution, UX, and design decisions.
- Set roadmap priorities, define what not to build, and shape design and engineering staffing.
- Drive outcomes including underwriter adoption, autonomous workflow coverage, accuracy, and fully autonomous customer wins.
- Develop deep understanding of underwriters’ workflows, submissions, and edge cases.
- Define correctness through evaluation frameworks, materiality thresholds, release-blocking regressions, and field-level quality metrics.
- Establish standards for autonomous underwriting, including agent behavior, escalation, uncertainty handling, and underwriter trust.
- Work closely with engineering to write prompts, analyze evaluation data, diagnose retrieval and model issues, prototype with AI coding agents, and write code when useful.

## Requirements
- 4+ years of product management experience.
- Track record owning the direction and outcomes of a technically difficult product.
- Practical technical fluency, including reading pull requests, participating in architecture discussions, writing SQL, and reasoning about model behavior.
- Experience shipping AI into production and understanding evaluation and model quality.
- Statistical literacy, including reasoning about distributions and thresholds and critically evaluating metrics.
- Willingness to develop deep expertise in construction risk and commercial insurance.
- Clear, direct communication and strong decision-making skills.
- High agency, experimentation, and a strong point of view.

## Compensation and Benefits
- Annual base salary: $190,000–$220,000.
