## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive discovery to understand customer and prospect requirements in the context of desired business outcomes.
- Partner closely with sales teams to progress opportunities from discovery through technical win and successful conclusion.
- Create sales presentations, deliver product demonstrations, and educate developers, product managers, and executives on cloud security technology.
- Validate solutions hands-on by building custom demonstrations and supporting customer-led proofs of concept.
- Advise customers on solutions using the Auth0 Identity Platform.
- Maintain broad and deep technical knowledge of Auth0 products, identity protocols, and underlying technologies.
- Participate proactively in local and regional sales and marketing events.
- Meet with customers and collaborate with the team in the London office approximately two days per week.

## Requirements
- Experience in a pre-sales role as a Sales Engineer or Solutions Engineer.
- Experience in a customer-facing role such as consulting, support, teaching, or pre-sales.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly, including at a whiteboard.
- Experience with at least one identity protocol, such as OIDC, OAuth 2.0, SAML, or LDAP.
- Strong development background with proficiency in at least one backend stack, such as Java, C#, Node.js, Python, PHP, or Ruby.
- Experience with a popular frontend stack, such as React, Angular, or Vue.
- Experience with REST APIs and SDKs.
- Understanding of application security concerns, including password hashing, SSL/TLS, encryption at rest, XSS, and XSRF.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate business value.
- Ability to share knowledge with highly skilled audiences.
- Strong relationship-building, listening, and time-management skills.
- Willingness to travel and meet customers.

## Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with identity and access management, single sign-on, and API-based solutions.
- Understanding of agentic AI and the role of identity in continuous oversight.
- Mobile development experience with iOS or Android.
- Experience with HTTP, HTML, and REST services.
- Experience using browser developer tools to explain HTTP traffic.
- Experience using HTTP clients such as cURL or Postman.
