## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Lead design for growth experiences across Codex and ChatGPT for business users.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a small team of 2–5+ product designers.
- Operate as a hands-on design leader, contributing directly to high-impact projects.
- Set a high bar for interaction design, visual craft, systems thinking, content, and end-to-end experience quality.
- Partner with product, engineering, data science, research, and go-to-market teams.
- Design and improve experiences across discovery, onboarding, activation, engagement, collaboration, conversion, and retention.
- Use quantitative data, experimentation, research, and qualitative insights to identify opportunities and evaluate outcomes.
- Translate complex AI capabilities into clear, approachable experiences for users with varying technical expertise.
- Move between long-term product vision and fast, iterative execution.
- Define AI-native growth experiences.

## Requirements
- Portfolio demonstrating exceptional product thinking, interaction design, and visual craft across complex shipped products.
- Experience as a player-coach who develops designers while remaining close to the work.
- Experience managing product designers or meaningfully mentoring others, leading complex initiatives, and raising team-level quality.
- Ability to coach designers to move quickly while maintaining clarity, coherence, and craft.
- Fluency using AI for exploration, prototyping, communication, and creation.
- Comfort working with data and experiments while balancing quantitative signals with research, judgment, and design intuition.
- Strong product judgment connecting user needs, business goals, and technical possibilities.
- Ability to turn ambiguous, fast-moving problems into clear vision and actionable direction.
- Clear communication and ability to align teams around a compelling product narrative.
- Ability to rethink established patterns and invent AI-native interactions.
- Strong collaboration with engineering, product, research, and data teams.
- Commitment to building useful, trustworthy products.

## Nice to Have
- Direct experience in growth design, developer products, or people management.
- Experience as a design manager or senior individual contributor with strong mentorship, leadership, and team-level impact.

## Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary: $347,000–$405,000.
- Relocation assistance is available for new employees.
