## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Oversee the end-to-end global financial reporting function, including consolidated and entity-only US GAAP financial statements.
- Lead regulated entity reporting and ensure compliance with evolving regulations.
- Evaluate complex, non-routine transactions and provide technical accounting guidance and disclosure recommendations.
- Develop GAAP accounting policies and support post-merger integration and product launches.
- Maintain corporate accounting policies and lead implementation of new FASB and SEC standards.
- Design and mature internal controls for Capital One financial reporting standards and SOX requirements.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Legal, and other teams on accounting for new products and business-model changes.
- Support timely close through journal entries, reconciliations, variance analytics, and coordination with FP&A.
- Deliver process improvements through automation, AI initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration.

## Requirements
- BA/BS degree, preferably in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
- CPA license.
- 10+ years of experience, including significant Big Four accounting firm experience and/or leadership in high-growth companies.
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge under US GAAP.
- Deep understanding of financial services, credit card processing, or payment-related accounting.
- Ability to translate complex accounting concepts into actionable insights for non-finance partners.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle difficult situations professionally.
- Innovative approach and willingness to develop creative solutions.
- Ownership mentality and commitment to career growth.
- Experience implementing and improving business processes and systems.
- Knowledge of DFIN, Workiva, or similar financial reporting platforms.

## Nice-to-haves

## Compensation
- Expected salary range: **$252,216–$315,270 USD**.
- Equity and other compensation may be provided as part of the total compensation package.
