## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Set strategy, roadmaps, and measurable goals for DevOps, Security, IT Operations, and AI enablement.
- Lead, hire, coach, and develop DevOps, Security, and IT engineering teams.
- Own the reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency of AWS infrastructure, including infrastructure as code, container platforms, networking, and capacity planning.
- Improve CI/CD, developer self-service, testing, release, rollback, and delivery-performance practices.
- Establish service-level objectives, observability, sustainable on-call practices, incident response, post-incident improvements, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
- Own security across cloud infrastructure, identity, endpoints, and the software development lifecycle, including vulnerability remediation, patching, data loss prevention, threat detection, and response.
- Lead SOC 2 readiness, customer security reviews, control evidence, third-party risk assessment, and remediation.
- Own IT service delivery, including onboarding and offboarding, identity and access management, device management, SaaS administration, and employee support.
- Drive automation across infrastructure, security, and IT.
- Lead AI enablement, including use-case identification, tool evaluation, pilots, coding assistants, knowledge tools, and workflow automation.
- Establish AI usage policies, approval standards, data protections, access controls, logging, human review, and oversight.
- Manage infrastructure, security, IT, and AI budgets, licensing, vendors, and contracts.
- Partner with Engineering, Product, Legal, Compliance, and business teams on dependencies, technical tradeoffs, customer needs, and roadmap priorities.

## Requirements
- Significant experience leading DevOps, platform, infrastructure, security, or IT teams with direct people management across multiple functions.
- Experience in a startup or high-growth SaaS environment preferred.
- Deep hands-on experience operating production AWS infrastructure, including Terraform or comparable infrastructure as code, ECS, EKS/Kubernetes, networking, IAM, and cloud cost optimization.
- Experience owning CI/CD, developer platforms, observability, service reliability, SLOs, on-call operations, incident management, and disaster recovery for a SaaS product.
- Experience building or leading security programs covering vulnerability management, cloud and identity security, endpoint protection, secure development, and incident response.
- Strong working knowledge of SOC 2, audit readiness, control evidence, customer security questionnaires, and third-party reviews.
- Experience leading IT operations, including identity lifecycle management, SSO, MFA, endpoint management, SaaS administration, employee support, and automated onboarding and offboarding.
- Experience evaluating, deploying, and driving adoption of generative AI tools across teams.
- Practical experience integrating large language model APIs or AI automation platforms, assessing quality, reliability, cost, and failure modes, and implementing human review and monitoring.
- Experience implementing AI governance and security controls for acceptable use, sensitive data, vendor retention and training practices, and integration or agent permissions.
- Experience delivering employee training and change management while measuring adoption and outcomes.
- Experience owning budgets, forecasting cloud and SaaS spend, and negotiating vendor contracts.
- Track record of hiring, mentoring, and developing engineers and delivering cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong technical judgment, problem-solving, written communication, and verbal communication skills.

## Compensation
- Base salary: $235,000-$250,000 annually.
