## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Build and continuously improve novel machine learning systems, product integrations, and performance optimizations using large-scale structured and unstructured data.
- Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, operations, and data scientists to identify business opportunities, refine and prioritize AI/ML requirements, make engineering decisions, and quantify impact.
- Work with trust defense and platform teams to address evolving fraud attacks.
- Productionize and operate AI/ML solutions and pipelines at scale for batch and real-time use cases.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a collaborative AI/ML engineering culture.

## Requirements
- 7+ years of industry experience in backend or platform engineering, or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, preferably a BE/B.Tech, or equivalent qualification.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or equivalent, plus data structures and algorithms and solid data engineering foundations.
- Understanding of machine learning best practices, including training/serving skew minimization, A/B testing, feature engineering, and feature/model selection.
- Knowledge of algorithms and domains including gradient-boosted trees, neural networks/deep learning, optimization, natural language processing, computer vision, personalization and recommendation, and anomaly detection.
- Experience with at least three of TensorFlow, PyTorch, Kubernetes, Spark, Airflow, Kubeflow, Kafka, Ray, and Hive.
- Experience building observability for AI systems, including metrics, logging, traces, automated alerting, dashboards, and SLO management.
- Experience working at large technology product companies on real-world problems.
- Exposure to architectural patterns for large-scale software applications, including well-designed APIs, high-volume data pipelines, and efficient algorithms and models.
- Experience with test-driven development, A/B testing, incremental delivery, and deployment.

## Nice-to-haves
- Applied machine learning experience.
- Experience building end-to-end machine learning infrastructure or productionizing machine learning models.
- Experience in the Trust and Risk domain.

## Compensation and Benefits
- India annual pay range: ₹4,500,000–₹6,500,000 INR.
- May be eligible for bonuses or incentives, equity programs, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
