## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Design scalable, performant applications, systems, and infrastructure for large software projects leveraging MongoDB.
- Guide customers on MongoDB architecture patterns and optimization strategies, and communicate business value to technical and business stakeholders.
- Partner with sales teams on account planning, opportunity prioritization and qualification, pipeline generation, technical discovery, demonstrations, proofs of value, presentations, sizing, and documentation.
- Generate demand through technical initiatives, industry trade shows, and account-based marketing events.
- Build customer relationships, develop champions, and ensure customer success and satisfaction.
- Provide field feedback to the product team and mentor Solutions Consulting team members.
- Complete ongoing product and industry training and professional development.
- Travel up to 25%.

## Requirements
- 8–11 years of related experience in a customer-facing role.
- 5–7 years of pre-sales experience with enterprise software.
- At least 3 years of professional experience with modern scripting or programming languages, such as Python, Node.js, SQL, C/C++, Java, or C#.
- Experience designing scalable, highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-premises environments.
- Experience reviewing complex application architectures and recommending improvements.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain complex technical and business concepts to leadership.
- Ability to strategize with sales teams and align internal and ecosystem resources around account plans.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

## Nice-to-haves
- Experience selling databases or deploying applications with major cloud providers.
- Database programming and data modeling experience.
- Experience with data engineering or AI/ML projects.
- Experience modernizing legacy systems and platforms.
- Familiarity with MEDDPICC or Command of the Message.
- MongoDB Certification.
- Cloud provider certification.
- Knowledge of MongoDB Atlas, Apache Kafka, Kubernetes, microservices, DevOps, cloud security, retrieval-augmented generation, and generative AI architectures.

## Compensation
- Base salary: $104,000–$204,000 annually.
- Additional compensation and benefits may include equity, employee stock purchase program participation, and flexible paid time off.
