## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Design and develop sensor and compute systems for robotics.
- Architect and deploy sensors and autonomous software with high reliability and performance.
- Deliver reliable software through metrics monitoring, automated testing, and vendor collaboration.
- Debug complex systems, identify root causes of failure modes, and deploy effective solutions.
- Drive cross-functional sensor and compute projects for autonomous vehicles.

## Requirements
- Experience in robotics or autonomous driving systems.
- Ability to work deeply with embedded and real-time systems.
- Proficiency in C++, particularly concurrency.
- Familiarity with the Linux kernel's role in driver performance.
- At least 2 years of industry experience.
- Bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Clear, concise communication and effective collaboration with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders.

## Nice-to-haves
- Experience with robotics hardware components, including sensors and embedded platforms with multiple CPUs, GPUs, ISPs, and accelerators.
- Experience programming peripheral devices and working with USB, SPI, I2C, and UART communication protocols.
- Experience with radar, lidar, or visual cameras.
- GPU programming and low-level driver optimization for NVIDIA GPUs.
- Linux kernel and device-driver programming, including threading, IPC, shared memory, and synchronization.
- Networking knowledge across the IP protocol stack, including PHY, TCP, UDP, and application-layer protocols.

## Compensation
- Base pay range: $132,300-$165,370 annually.
- Eligible for an annual performance bonus, equity, and competitive benefits.
