## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Prospect and engage independent retailers to join the Instacart Marketplace
- Manage the end-to-end sales cycle for small opportunities
- Use cold calls and emails to identify new opportunities, drive value, and establish meaningful relationships with local retailers
- Develop sales collateral, case studies, and custom ‘stories’ to translate benefits of Instacart’s platform to independent retailers
- Set meetings, follow up with prospects, and drive progress toward partnership goals

## Requirements
- Previous experience in a sales or business development role
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport and establish lasting relationships
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong problem-solving, solution mapping and negotiation skills
- Time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize a strong go to market strategy
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with the team to achieve individual and team objectives
- Flexibility and adaptability to change
- A strong desire to learn and grow in the sales field

## Nice-to-Haves
- Strong knowledge of the grocery industry, including market trends and operational challenges
- Experience selling SaaS solutions to drive retailer success
- Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales engagement tools
