## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Run and improve the monthly/quarterly close for revenue, deferred revenue, unbilled receivables, and related balance sheet accounts—including reconciliations, journal entries, and flux analysis.
- Perform revenue-related reconciliations and journal entries; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Conduct flux analysis on revenue and explain drivers to leadership and partner teams.
- Partner early on pricing, packaging, promotions, credits/refunds, and billing logic to ensure revenue recognition and operational readiness.
- Collaborate with User Ops, Finance Systems, Finance Data, and Billing teams to align product outputs with the general ledger, especially for high-volume automated revenue streams.
- Help select, implement, and improve billing and revenue systems (e.g., NetSuite, Stripe).
- Design, document, and maintain internal controls over revenue and order-to-cash; maintain audit-ready evidence including control matrices and testing support.

## Using Cursor as a Multiplier
- Automate workstreams such as scripts, reconciliation helpers, repeatable close steps, and lightweight tooling to reduce manual effort and errors.
- Produce best-in-class deliverables like clear memos, control narratives, close packages, and analyses.
- Create efficiencies through templates, checklists, and workflows that scale with growth.
- Move faster safely by pairing AI-assisted drafting with judgment on GAAP, controls, and economic reality.

## Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (or equivalent experience); CPA or equivalent strongly preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with meaningful revenue accounting depth.
- Strong command of ASC 606.
- Experience with subscription and usage-based SaaS and high-volume self-service revenue.
- Experience designing and implementing systems and integrations for automatic data flow from source to GL.
- SQL or other data skills for reconciliations of large datasets.
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite, Stripe, HubiFi, Salesforce, or similar tools.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, influence without authority, and deliver in a fast-changing, high-growth environment.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and ownership.
