> Leads electrical architecture and delivery for high-availability data centers, from utility interconnection and power-system studies through prefabrication, construction, commissioning, and handover. Requires 10+ years of mission-critical electrical engineering experience, strong US code knowledge, modular-infrastructure expertise, and proficiency with power-analysis tools.

## Job Description

## Responsibilities

### Electrical Design & Engineering
- Lead electrical design for critical data center infrastructure across the US portfolio, including utility interfaces, substations, medium- and high-voltage systems, generators, UPS systems, switchgear, transformers, grounding, PDUs, busway, and rack power delivery.
- Develop and maintain electrical bases of design, reference architectures, and technical specifications for critical power distribution.
- Perform and validate short-circuit, protection coordination, arc-flash, load-flow, and power-quality studies.
- Interpret floor plans and technical drawings; plan data center hall layouts covering rack positioning, structured cabling, power distribution, and cooling coordination.

### Prefabrication & Modular Delivery
- Drive prefabricated and modular electrical strategies involving modular skids, e-houses, and prefabricated power assemblies.
- Design interfaces between offsite-manufactured components and onsite installation, including temporary power sequencing and commissioning milestones.
- Standardize modular electrical designs across sites while accommodating site constraints and evolving hardware generations.

### Partner, Vendor & Utility Coordination
- Review and approve electrical design packages, submittals, and shop drawings from build partners and MEP consultants.
- Specify electrical equipment with regional vendors and support supply-chain diversification.
- Coordinate with utilities, interconnection and transmission operators, authorities having jurisdiction, vendors, and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with NEC/NFPA, IEEE, ANSI, UL, and other jurisdictional requirements.
- Present technical findings and proposals to internal stakeholders and data center operations teams.

### Delivery, Construction & Commissioning
- Define project scope and provide technical support during construction.
- Oversee implementation with vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
- Support commissioning, validate electrical-system performance, resolve field issues, and review test results against design intent.
- Manage concurrent projects across multiple geographies and travel to sites for design reviews, audits, evaluations, and startup support.
- Improve internal electrical design standards and delivery practices.

## Requirements
- 10+ years of electrical engineering experience in mission-critical facilities, including data center or high-availability electrical distribution design across the project lifecycle.
- Deep knowledge of US electrical codes and standards, including NFPA 70/NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE standards such as IEEE 1584, and UL/ANSI equipment standards such as UL 891 and UL 1558.
- Experience with prefabricated and modular data center electrical infrastructure, offsite manufacture, modular skids, and e-houses.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience producing and reviewing electrical construction documents, single-line diagrams, and equipment specifications.
- Strong knowledge of rack layouts, structured cabling, power distribution, and cooling infrastructure in high-availability data centers.
- Fluency in power-systems analysis and experience with SKM, ETAP, or EasyPower.
- Understanding of critical-power topologies, including 2N, N+1, distributed redundant, and block redundant systems.

## Nice-to-Haves
- RPEQ or CPEng registration, or eligibility.
- Experience coordinating with local utilities, ISOs/RTOs, and regulatory authorities.
- Experience with modular construction, commissioning, vendor qualification, and multi-site data center delivery.

## Compensation
- ATS salary data lists a maximum value of 2; no interpretable annual salary range is provided.
