## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software systems for the XBat Platform.
- Build robust ground control stations, mission planning tools, and communication interfaces.
- Provide user-facing applications to operate XBat.
- Collaborate with Aircraft Software, Hivemind, and Flight Test teams.

## Required Qualifications
**Senior Level:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, or related field with 5+ years professional software development experience.
- Or Master’s with 4+ years, or PhD with 2+ years.

**Staff Level:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, or related field with 7+ years professional software development experience.
- Or Master’s with 6+ years, or PhD with 4+ years.

- Strong proficiency in **C++**, **Python**, or **JavaScript/TypeScript**.
- Experience building distributed systems or networked applications.
- Experience designing and developing ground control station (GCS) software for critical mission applications.
- Experience developing user interfaces (e.g., **Qt**, **React**, or similar frameworks).
- Strong debugging and system integration skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, cross-functional engineering environment.
- Ability to obtain security clearance.

## Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with UAS platforms.
- Experience with AI/ML systems.
- Exposure to cybersecurity best practices for embedded or distributed systems.
