## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Lead ElevenLabs' engagement with government bodies and officials across Canada, focusing on AI governance, safety, copyright, privacy, transparency, data protection, competition, and digital rights.
- Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, regulators, industry associations, and civil society groups.
- Monitor, analyze, and advise on emerging regulations affecting the company.
- Represent ElevenLabs at conferences and industry events, advancing public policy goals.
- Support internal policy development with Legal, Safety, Security, and other teams.
- Advise company leadership on regional policy trends and business implications.
- Promote government adoption of ElevenLabs products and services in partnership with the GTM team.
- Define and implement policy campaigns and impact initiatives that advance company objectives.

## Requirements
- Genuine interest in the future of AI and emerging technologies.
- Current knowledge of AI regulation and industry trends.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and work cross-functionally.
- Ability to work independently, handle ambiguity, and make informed decisions quickly.
- Proactive, solution-oriented approach.
- 8+ years of experience in public- and private-sector policy roles, with a focus on AI and technology.
- Strong knowledge of Canada's AI policy landscape, including AI governance, safety, copyright, privacy, transparency, data protection, competition, and digital rights.
- Demonstrated success designing, advocating for, and influencing policy outcomes, as well as building coalitions.
- Public policy experience across Canada.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including briefing government officials and policymakers.
- Fluency in English and French.
