## Job Description

## Responsibilities

### Strategic Customer Engagement
- Support strategic customer conversations with technical and engineering leaders and stakeholders.
- Deliver insights on emerging trends, industry best practices, and identity-driven digital transformation.
- Prepare executive-level messaging and participate in strategic discussions connecting Okta solutions to customer outcomes.
- Develop customer-centric perspectives translating Okta solutions into customer problem statements.
- Lead technical discovery sessions with security and infrastructure leaders on endpoint security, passwordless adoption, and identity threat vectors.
- Deliver customized demonstrations and architectural sessions focused on Okta Identity Governance.
- Design and execute outcome-focused proofs of concept integrating governance solutions across SaaS, on-premises, and disconnected applications.
- Maintain broad and deep technical knowledge of Okta identity products, technologies, and protocols.
- Create solution content positioning Okta's value for engineering, operations, product, and business stakeholders.

### Asset Delivery
- Create and maintain reusable and purpose-built demonstration systems for presales.
- Create and maintain diagrams and documentation supporting patterns and strategies.
- Build proof-of-concept templates and materials for unique customer engagements.
- Create and maintain AI-based delivery and enablement functionality.

### Technical Leadership and Enablement
- Provide strategic and technical guidance to Solutions Engineering teams across Okta and identity platforms.
- Collaborate with the Global Office of Field CTO and Product and Engineering teams to share field insights, validate customer needs, and identify trends.
- Deliver keynotes, webinars, and technical sessions at industry and customer events.
- Contribute frameworks, tools, and content that help Solutions Engineering teams execute effectively.
- Partner with sales leadership, Enablement, and Field CTO teams on business opportunities, regional events, and go-to-market messaging.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration and innovate in tools and techniques that improve execution.

### Market Influence and Strategy
- Represent Okta as a thought leader in identity and security.
- Influence industry standards and participate in technical advisory boards.
- Advocate for customer-driven innovation, market trends, and go-to-market insights to influence product teams.
- Support and champion strategic initiatives that enhance Okta's differentiation and business impact.

## Requirements
- Expert-level knowledge of Active Directory and Azure AD (Entra ID) or similar platforms, including Group Policy Objects, Kerberos, and OIDC/SAML protocols.
- Proficiency managing and securing identity providers such as Okta, Ping Identity, and Google Workspace.
- Experience managing hybrid identity synchronization between on-premises environments and the cloud.
- Deep, hands-on experience deploying or selling governance solutions, including SailPoint, Saviynt, Oracle Governance, or Lumos.
- Hands-on experience with low-code/no-code automation tools such as Zapier or Workato.
- Ability to translate complex Joiner-Mover-Leaver requirements into viable architectures incorporating software rationalization and automation.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including experience contributing to technical events.
- Willingness to travel up to 40% for customer meetings, industry events, and internal off-sites.

## Nice-to-Haves
- Hands-on experience with Okta Identity Governance.
- Experience with SailPoint, Saviynt, or Oracle Governance.
- Familiarity with privileged access management concepts, methodologies, and tools such as CyberArk, BeyondTrust, Delinea, or Okta Privileged Access.
- Certified Identity Professional (CIDPRO), CISSP, CCSP, or CISM certification.
- Scripting or automation experience with Python or PowerShell.
- Experience with Claude or Vercel for vibe coding.
