## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and apply data science solutions to improve advertiser experience and Reddit’s ad platform.
- Analyze large-scale datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that improve advertising effectiveness.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to define product requirements and translate them into data science solutions.
- Develop machine learning models and data science methods for anomaly detection, prediction, and pattern recognition.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders across the organization.
- Stay current with advancements in machine learning and data science.
- Mentor and guide junior data scientists.

## Requirements
- Advanced degree (master’s or PhD) in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, physics, economics, or operations research.
- **Master’s degree holders:** 5+ years of industry experience in applied science or data science roles.
- **PhD holders:** 4+ years of industry experience in applied science or data science roles.
- Platform experience and a deep understanding of the advertising ecosystem.
- Strong understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, causal inference, and experimental design.
- Experience with large-scale data processing and analysis using Spark, Hadoop, or Hive; BigQuery knowledge is a plus.
- Proficiency in Python or R and experience with machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Passion for Reddit and the online advertising industry.

## Nice-to-haves
- Experience with online advertising and ad tech.
- Experience with causal inference and A/B testing.
- Contributions to open-source projects or publications in relevant conferences or journals.

## Compensation
- Base salary range: **$190,800–$267,100 USD**.
- Eligible for equity in the form of restricted stock units; select positions may also be eligible for commission.
