## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Lead tax due diligence and preliminary planning for M&A transactions, coordinating with internal teams and external advisors.
- Design and implement global tax planning structures that optimize Canadian and foreign tax positions, transfer pricing outcomes, and US GAAP compliance.
- Oversee Canadian income tax planning, compliance, and routine filings, including efficient processes and service-provider coordination.
- Provide tax guidance to Legal and business teams on commercial arrangements and strategic initiatives.
- Monitor global tax developments and assess their impact on the company's tax position and planning opportunities.

## Requirements
- JD designation.
- 5–8 years of progressive experience in Canadian tax, international tax, or M&A tax.
- Strong expertise in Canadian income tax, transfer pricing, and cross-border tax planning.
- Experience managing complex tax projects from inception to completion.
- Excellent qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.
- Experience in the technology or AI sector.
- Knowledge of global tax principles; US tax knowledge is a plus.
- Knowledge of international tax treaties and Canadian and global indirect tax systems.
- Strong communication skills for explaining complex tax concepts to non-tax stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and tax research tools.
