## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Mercury’s infrastructure platform for the Engineering organization.
- Develop AI-friendly infrastructure that supports both engineers and agents.
- Deliver infrastructure projects, break down complex initiatives, and define strategy through RFCs and technical specifications.
- Maintain and improve networking, container orchestration, cloud infrastructure, security, observability, and developer enablement.
- Collaborate with product engineering teams to solve production and infrastructure problems.

## Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with AWS.
- Strong knowledge of Linux, file systems, containers, and low-level operating-system foundations.
- Interest in cloud-native open-source technologies and comfort contributing code upstream.
- At least 2 years of experience creating technical documentation, RFCs, and technical specifications.
- Strong software development experience and willingness to dive into complex infrastructure problems.

## Nice-to-haves
- Experience operating in regulated environments such as HITRUST or SOC 2.
- 2+ years of experience working in large-scale Terraform environments with many contributing engineers.

## Compensation and Benefits
- Total rewards include base salary, equity (stock options/RSUs), and benefits.
- US employees: $122,400–$158,400 USD base salary.
- Canadian employees: $115,700–$149,700 CAD base salary.
- Offers consider experience, expertise, geographic location, and internal pay equity.
