## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a high-performing engineering team within the Billing organization.
- Partner with engineering leaders, product managers, and designers to shape strategy and roadmap.
- Apply first-principles thinking to complex problems and system design.
- Foster a healthy team culture based on trust and psychological safety.
- Define processes that help the team perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Coach and mentor engineers, supporting career growth and skill development.
- Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as part of the engineering management team.
- Partner with recruiting to hire strong engineering talent.

## Requirements
- 4+ years of engineering management experience.
- 8+ years of full-time software development experience.
- Track record of hiring and leading productive engineering teams.
- Experience nurturing supportive, challenging, diverse, and inclusive work environments.
- Strong cross-functional leadership and ability to lead and measure product outcomes.
- Strong technical background and hands-on experience solving large-scale technical problems.
- Experience building extensible software solutions that scale to varied user needs.
- Ability to operate with a high level of autonomy and responsibility.

## Nice-to-haves
- Strong product and design sense.
- Experience finding elegant solutions to complex problems.
