## Job Description

## Responsibilities
- Lead APAC direct tax compliance, working with external advisors to ensure timely and accurate filings across all jurisdictions.
- Support transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transactions for APAC entities, including cost-plus arrangements and intercompany service agreements.
- Manage withholding tax positions and treaty relief on cross-border flows, including customer receipts and vendor payments.
- Advise on permanent establishment risks, entity structuring, and operational tax considerations as the company expands APAC commercial and infrastructure activities.
- Support the tax side of regional infrastructure expansion, including data center, colocation, and subsea cable arrangements and new entity formations.
- Partner with indirect tax personnel on VAT/GST and consumption tax matters to align tax strategy and compliance requirements.
- Partner with Finance, Legal, and People teams on payroll taxes, equity compensation, and employee mobility matters.
- Build relationships with local tax authorities and manage inquiries or audits.
- Contribute to global tax projects, including public company readiness, SOX compliance, and tax technology implementations.
- Work with the indirect tax team on advisory, compliance, and audit assistance.

## Requirements
- Strong technical knowledge of corporate tax in one or more major APAC jurisdictions and cross-border tax issues across the region.
- Deep experience with transfer pricing documentation, intercompany agreements, withholding tax, and treaty analysis.
- CPA, CA, CTA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work across time zones with US and European colleagues.
- Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and can build processes from the ground up.
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience in a relevant field.

## Nice-to-haves
- 12+ years of international tax experience, ideally with a mix of Big Four/advisory and in-house roles.
- Exposure to technology or high-growth company tax matters.
- Experience with tax aspects of data center or infrastructure buildouts.
- Knowledge of Pillar Two/global minimum tax rules and digital services taxes.
- Experience with Indian direct tax matters, including permanent establishment and withholding tax issues.
- Experience supporting IPO readiness or public company tax compliance.
- Regional language skills.
- Experience with systems buildout or automation.
